Lenny Kravitz’s Famous Friends Can’t Believe His Abs Are Actually Real

It’s easy to forget when you look at him that Lenny Kravitz is 57 years old. Not only does the rock star still exude the charisma that he has embodied throughout his music career, but he also appears to be fitter than ever—and he’s not shy about showing that off.

Kravitz regularly shares photos of himself in various states of shirtlessness from his home in the Bahamas, ostensibly while performing mundane tasks like feeding his dogs or doing DIY. On each occasion, his sculpted six-pack abs are on full display. Yesterday, the music legend posted another blasé thirst trap while making coffee in between recording sessions in his home studio, with his leopard-print shirt wide open, and some of his famous friends showed how impressed they were in the comments.

“My brother,” wrote The Rock. “Inspiring.” Meanwhile, actor Channing Tatum (who is reportedly dating Zoë Kravitz) couldn’t seem to believe his eyes, commenting: “Good god man! What are you eating or what’s in the water or the genes. It’s not natural. Do you just do abs like all day?” Kravitz responded by stating that he was “just trying to get in the next Magic Mike,” and asked Tatum if he had any connections that might be able to help him.

Elsewhere, comedian Arsenio Hall claimed that the image was a fake: “I hate when my friends hack a photo and put their head… on my body!”

When it comes to training his famous abs, one of Kravitz’s go-to moves is the hanging knee raise (learn more about his full-body workout here), but he also subscribes to the idea that abs are made in the kitchen, and he tends to stick to a raw vegetable-based diet.

“I’m very careful about what I put into my body and how I take care of my body,” he told Men’s Health during his cover story interview in 2020. “It’s a combination of eating all these things and working out and keeping my muscles and my joints in shape, so that I can do what I do.”
