Fast & Furious 9 has cast Vin Diesel’s son Vincent Sinclair in a mystery role, which is rumored to be a younger version of his character Dominic ‘Dom’ Toretto.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the ten-year-old youngster filmed his scenes for the long-awaited action sequel back in 2019.
While the same publication could not confirm what his involvement in the follow-up would entail exactly, it’s worth noting that, around the same time the news emerged online, TMZ reported that he will be seen taking over from former Little Dom actor Alex McGee, who appeared in 2015’s Furious 7.
When the movie will finally reach cinemas, having initially been postponed due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Sinclair and Diesel will be seen sharing the screen with the likes of Jordana Brewster, Ludacris, Tyrese Gibson, Sung Kang and Game of Thrones‘ Nathalie Emmanuel. Dame Helen Mirren, Michelle Rodriguez, John Cena and Charlize Theron, who’s back as cyber-terrorist Cipher, also star.
“Definitely eager to share it,” Diesel told EW back in January. “When you make a good movie, your first goal is to make something that you can be proud of, and in the film business you learn from the very beginning that when the film gets released, even without the pandemic, is rarely in your control.

“But when you really think about the quality of the movie, there’s more time you have to work in post-production, more time to get the shots right; it does give you a little bit of a cushion.
“I want to get the movie out for all of the great fans who have been waiting for this chapter — and yet look at the world that we live in.”
